President: Danielle Woods-Huffman, MSW, LGSW

Danielle Woods-Huffman, MSW, LGSW is the Clinic Director of Charleston CTC. She became a member of the board as the MSW Student Rep in 2020. In addition to the board, Danielle has also participated in the planning of the yearly NASW-WV conference where she has assisted in moderating sessions and has presented. In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending time with her loved ones and volunteering in her local community with her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Danielle is an advocate for recovery, harm reduction and mental health awareness.

Vice President: Nicholas Trietsch, LICSW

Nicholas Trietsch is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of West Virginia. They graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Masters of Social Work from West Virginia University. Their area of expertise includes LGBTQIAA+ and gender expansive populations. Nicholas is currently Vice President of the NASW WV Chapter. They are affiliated with the West Virginia Trans Coalition, the Tri-State Gender Collaborative, The Eastern Panhandle Youth Alliance, and the Shepherd University Social Work Program Advisory Board. In their free time you can find Nicholas caring for their numerous cats, doing stand-up at local open mics, and participating in community organizing.

Secretary: Aimee Cardot

Aimee was inducted into the board in 2021 as an MSW representative. She then served as the Central State representative. Currently she is the board secretary. Aimee is a Partnership for Success Coordinator for Potomac Highlands Guild serving region 2 in the Eastern Panhandle. She also works as Case Manager for Grant County Housing Authority. Aimee resides in Grant County and looks forward to the Spring Conference every year!

Northern Representative: Robert Tyler Davis, MSW

Robert “Tyler” Davis, MSW is the CHRO of Harmony Mental Health, Inc., a mental health agency in Parkersburg & Charleston, WV, where he also works as a Therapist. At Harmony, Tyler strives to “meet clients where they are” by providing mental health services to adults, children, and families across various settings including in schools, in-office, and via Telehealth focusing his treatment efforts on Trauma, Grief, and Individuals with Disabilities. Tyler currently serves on the NASW Board of Directors WV Chapter as the Northern Representative as well as serving as a Chairperson of the NASWAC PACE Committee. Formerly, Tyler served as the MSW Student Representative for the NASW WV Chapter Board of Directors – as well as serving as a voting member on the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation’s (PACF) Scholarship Committee.

Southern Representative: Nola Gum, DSW, LICSW

Dr. Nola Gum, LICSW is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at Concord University, where she has taught since 2015. Nola earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Concord University, her Master’s Degree in Social Work at West Virginia University, and her Doctorate Degree in Social Work from Tulane University. Her research interests include evidence-based trauma treatments for adolescents in foster care and the intersection of social work and environmental social justice.

Nola practices in various capacities in both child welfare and mental health fields. She currently serves the local community as a therapist practicing in Princeton, WV. She has created unique therapy interventions for publication and has done extensive work with the WV Foster Care system, statewide policy, grant writing, and trauma-informed care.

In her free time, Nola enjoys hiking the Appalachian Trail, camping, scouting, and spending time with family and friends.

Eastern Representative: Eileen Tehan

Eileen Tehan is a clinical social worker who graduated with her masters in 1999 from the University of New England. She has obtained her Doctorate in social work in 2020. Eileen has experience working with mental health, hospice, incarceration, Veterans, and families. She is a Veteran, having served active duty as a 73A, Social Work Officer during OEF and OND. She enjoys working with children, adults, and families, and with treating depression, anxiety and trauma. Her outlook on therapy is that the client is the expert in their own life and she takes a strength-based approach when working with clients.

Member-at-Large: Deana Morrow, PhD, LICSW, ACSW

Dr. Morrow is Director and Professor Emeritus of the WVU School of Social Work and Eberly Family Professor for Outstanding Public Service Emeritus in the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences. During Dr. Morrow’s leadership, the School of Social Work developed a PhD program in social work and developed online options for the existing MSW and BSW degree programs. She also led the School of Social Work through the successful reaffirmation of accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education. Additionally, Dr. Morrow led a successful Eberly College initiative to secure promotion opportunities and a progressive career ladder for master’s degree faculty.

In national and state leadership, Dr. Morrow has served as Chair of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Board of Accreditation, member of the CSWE Council on Leadership Development, Board member for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Foundation, and Board member for the NASW-West Virginia. She is also a past Chair of the North Carolina Social Work Licensure Board. Additionally, has she served on numerous nonprofit community boards.

Dr. Morrow’s research interests include older adults, social work education, social work licensure and regulation, leadership, and sexual minority populations. She has authored more than 50 scholarly publications and made more than 150 scholarly presentations in regional, national, and international venues. She has also led or co-led a variety of externally funded grants in areas such as gerontology education for adult protective services workers, behavioral health workforce development, mental health first aid training for college students, addiction and recovery workforce development, health and long-term care, and foster and adoptive family recruitment.

Member-at-Large: Felicia Roark, MSW, LGSW

Felicia Roark, MSW, LGSW (she/her) has an associate degree in Community Behavioral Health through Bridge Valley Community and Technical College, Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a focus on Behavioral Science from WVSU, and Master of Social Work from WVU. She has worked over 12 years in the field of mental health and substance abuse from working inpatient, outpatient, and ER settings. She currently serves the Charleston area through primary care mental health integration services through the VA. She has provided field supervision through WVU and Marshall for future social workers. She was WV NASW social worker of the year in 2022. Her passion is mental health, substance abuse, older population, and advocacy. Additionally, she serves as the secretary for HOSA future health professionals board which encourages students to pursue fields in health care (including social work). Felicia lives in the Charleston area with her 3 dogs.
