BSW Student Representative: Samantha Fridley

Shepherd University

My name is Samantha, and I am from Shepherdstown, WV! I am going into my third year at Shepherd University, studying Social Work with a minor in Communications and New Media. I have always wanted to help others, and I feel that I can make an impact in my community. My main focus of social work is adolescent mental health, focusing on crisis prevention! I have been super involved at Shepherd University - from forming my own mental health awareness club, to joining Student Life Council as the Chair. I have been featured in the Wall Street Journal, which then led me to be on Good Morning America, the Doctors Talk Show, and CBS News. I am very excited to connect with social workers across the state of West Virginia, and work together to make social work bigger!
